About

Welcome to Stuart Baker Elementary School

The staff at Stuart Baker Elementary extends a warm welcome to the families of S.B.E.S. Our very dedicated, staff is looking forward to another rewarding, and satisfying school year. We are committed to helping students be the best they can be in a safe, nurturing, learning environment. The Mission of S.B.E.S. is to promote the social, emotional, intellectual and physical well being of every person in a safe, nurturing learning environment so that each of us has the opportunity to realize our full potential. We are a Community of Learners.

We encourage parents/guardians to take an active role in their children’s educational life. Showing an interest in the day-to-day school activities is extremely valuable and important. It will enhance the children’s learning by demonstrating that parents value and support a rich learning environment. As partners, we have a common goal: to help the children be the best they can be.

School History

We are proud to honour the man behind our school’s name. Education was very important to Mr. Baker. He was a Teacher and a Principal for many years, as well as the Director of Education, from 1984 to 1991. Thus it was fitting when the school opened with his name, in 1999.
